Lahaina Gateway, West Maui’s largest outdoor shopping center, announces plans to welcome popular Maui eatery Kihei Caffe in Spring 2020. The Lahaina Gateway location will mark the first expansion for the restaurant, which opened its doors in 1998 and has been named “Best Breakfast on Maui” for ten consecutive years by Maui Time Weekly.
Kihei Caffe Lahaina will feature original menu favorites like their Loco Moco, Pork Fried Rice, Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes, Prime Steak Burgers, salads and wraps. New to the West Maui location, Kihei Caffe Lahaina will expand the original menu to include dinner entrees and beverage service, with new menu items to be announced closer to the restaurant’s grand opening.
The new restaurant will take over 4,374 square feet of space in a prime corner location by the intersection of Hono’api’ilani Highway and Keawe Street. The restaurant’s design concept will be inspired by the tropical roadside fruit and farm stands found around the island.
“We are excited to welcome such a landmark Maui eatery this year,” said Sandra Brown, Lahaina Gateway’s property manager. “The addition of Kihei Caffe Lahaina is part of the ongoing revitalization of Lahaina Gateway, and we are proud to continue expanding our dining offerings with this long-standing Maui local and visitor favorite.”
Kihei Caffe Lahaina will join Lahaina Gateway’s popular restaurants and eateries, in addition to nationally and locally recognized merchandise and service retailers Foodland Farms, Ross Dress for Less, Ace Hardware, Foot Locker, Local Motion, Claire’s Boutique, David’s Happy Nails, Galan Sports Chiropractic, Go Wireless, Mahina Boutique, Minit Medical, Plush Beauty Lounge, Supercuts, Rainbow Dialysis Lahaina, and The Vitamin Shoppe. Lahaina Gateway is also home to one of Maui’s largest craft shows, The Maui Gift & Craft Fair, held every Sunday.
Lahaina Gateway, which is at the heart of the growing West Maui community, is conveniently located within a mile of historic Front Street in Lahaina, and easily accessible from the Hono’api’ilani Highway.
